1/32nd Scale – WWII U.S. General Purpose Vehicle – Set: FOV-82009

Description

1/32nd Scale – WWII U.S. General Purpose Vehicle – D-Day Commemorative Series – The US Army Jeeps (the GPA) were manufactured from 1941 to 1945. These small four-wheel driven utility vehicles are considered the iconic WWII Jeep, and inspired many similar light utility vehicles. Over the years, the WWII Jeep later evolved into the civilian Jeep. Its counterpart in the German army was the Volkswagen Kübelwagen first prototyped in 1938, also based on a small automobile, but which used an air-cooled engine and lacked 4 four-wheel drive.
The Forces of Valor® General Purpose Vehicle (GP) is produced in both die cast metal and plastic. The wheels roll includes a driver. This replica is of a Jeep deployed in France at Normandy in 1944.
